Publication Ethics and Editorial Policies

The IASR Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Science (IJMPS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and transparency in scholarly publishing. The journal follows internationally recognized ethical practices to ensure the integrity, reliability, and quality of published research.

The editorial board, authors, reviewers, and publisher are expected to adhere to ethical publishing standards recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and other widely accepted guidelines for responsible research publication.

  1. Publication Ethics

The journal is dedicated to promoting ethical research and responsible publication practices. All submitted manuscripts must represent original work and should not have been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal.

Editors reserve the right to reject manuscripts that fail to meet ethical standards or contain unethical research practices.

  1. Peer Review Policy

All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo a double-blind peer review process. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential.

Manuscripts are evaluated by independent experts in the relevant field to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific validity of the research. The editorial board makes the final decision based on reviewers’ recommendations.

  1. Plagiarism Policy

The journal has a strict policy against plagiarism and academic misconduct. All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software before the review process.

Manuscripts with a high similarity index or evidence of copied material, duplicate publication, or unattributed content will be rejected. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work is original and properly cites all sources.

  1. Conflict of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence the research or its interpretation.

Any potential conflicts of interest should be clearly stated during manuscript submission. Transparency helps maintain trust in the scholarly publishing process.

  1. Authorship and Author Responsibilities

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research study.

All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission for publication. Any changes in authorship after submission must be approved by all authors and the editorial office.

  1. Human and Animal Rights

Research involving human participants must comply with ethical standards and should have approval from a recognized institutional ethics committee.

Studies involving animals must follow internationally accepted guidelines for the ethical treatment of animals in research.

Authors should clearly indicate ethical approval and informed consent where applicable.

  1. Open Access Policy

The journal follows an open access publishing model, allowing all published articles to be freely available online without subscription or access fees.

Readers are permitted to read, download, and share published articles for academic and research purposes with proper citation of the original work.

  1. Copyright Policy

Authors retain the copyright of their work while granting the journal the right to publish and distribute the article.

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for any copyrighted material included in their manuscripts.

Proper acknowledgment and citation must be provided when using previously published content.

  1. Retraction, Corrections, and Errata Policy

The journal is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. Articles may be corrected or retracted in cases of significant errors, plagiarism, duplicate publication, or research misconduct.

When necessary, a retraction or correction notice will be published to inform readers and maintain transparency.

The journal ensures long-term digital preservation of its published content through online archiving systems and institutional repositories.

All articles remain permanently accessible on the journal website to ensure the continued availability of scholarly information.
