The IASR Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Science (IJMPS) follows a rigorous, transparent, and ethical peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific integrity of all manuscripts submitted for publication.
All manuscripts must be original and should not have been previously published or submitted simultaneously to another journal.
Upon submission, each manuscript undergoes an initial screening by the editorial office to assess its alignment with the journal’s scope, formatting requirements, and ethical standards. All submissions are screened for plagiarism using standard plagiarism detection software.
Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s requirements or demonstrate significant similarity or ethical concerns may be rejected at this stage.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are forwarded to independent expert reviewers in the relevant subject area. The journal follows a double-blind peer review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential.
Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers to ensure an objective and unbiased assessment.
Reviewers assess manuscripts based on the following criteria:
Reviewers provide detailed comments and recommendations to support the editorial decision-making process.
Based on the reviewers’ reports, the Editor-in-Chief or handling editor makes one of the following decisions:
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with the reviewers’ comments and submit a point-by-point response.
Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the original reviewers for further evaluation. A final decision is made once the manuscript satisfactorily addresses all reviewer comments and meets the journal’s standards.
After acceptance, manuscripts undergo copyediting, proofreading, and formatting prior to publication. The final version is published in the scheduled issue of the journal.
The journal adheres to internationally recognized ethical guidelines, including those recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All participants in the peer review process are expected to maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of publication ethics.
